CEC or Energy Broker ?
Most Energy Brokers are primarily concerned with getting you to sign a supply contract. They are paid commission by the supply company directly linked to the consumption and duration of contract you ultimately sign; the higher your overall consumption and the longer the contract, the more commission they will
earn. You dont have to think hard to see how a typical Energy Broker can maximise their income stream.
Generally, once a new supply contract has been signed, Brokers will hibernate until the contract renewal process starts again. CECs approach is
far more holistic. Because we are paid only if we are able to better the deal you would otherwise accept, we are continually looking for ways to find savings for you. We offer a more complete service typically not available through an energy broker giving you a far more transparent understanding of your energy charges and options.
Most Brokers do not conduct comprehensive audits, search for refunds, look for better tariff structures, or monitor your bills on an on going basis,
because it is simply not in their financial interest to do so.
Dealing with CEC on a supply contract renewal will also highlight the major differences in our approach compared to that of a typical Broker. CEC
analysts are actively looking to go to the market at the right time to find you the best deal, appropriate contract structure and contract duration. We
actively target suppliers and negotiate specifically on your behalf to get you the best possible deal. All options are discussed with you in detail, allowing
you to make an informed decision.
