MITM Patron Control Energy Costs Help RSD Pressings With Their Energy Costs & Management…

Cannock based RSD Pressings who moved in to their purpose built manufacturing facility in January 2016 have benefited from the knowledge and connection they made with Control Energy Costs (CEC) in August 2017.

Daniel Burton, Operation Director at RSD Pressings outlined the relationship with Liam Conway Of CEC by saying ‘Liam approached me following a breakfast morning we both attended at Salop Design & Engineering organised via Made In The Midlands. He mentioned he knew we were a metal pressing company and that it may well be worth getting together for a chat. Two things made me think this would be worthwhile; Firstly, I’d seen a number of Liam’s case studies and the fact he was a Patron of Made In The Midlands validated his service. Secondly; He mentioned Salop Design & Engineering who we had just had a factory tour of were clients too!’

RSD Pressings have continued to invest in machinery and have recently increased their pressing capacity to include a 300 Tonne progression press.

Liam Conway explained ‘Metal pressing like so many manufacturing processes is energy intensive. There are however a number of immediate opportunities for metal pressing businesses to address their historic costs which often results in a retrospective rebate’

Daniel Burton summarised the relationship by saying ‘Liam came to see our business and asked for the opportunity to prove CEC’s value to us. Within 2 months we had secured a refund on our electricity, reduced a line on our invoices immediately to zero and secured new supply contracts expertly negotiated by CEC’
